Instructions to Poster Presenters

Poster presentations are considered equally important as oral contributions. When a poster has been attributed, this does not mean that the work is considered second class. Once you have received confirmation that your abstract has been accepted for poster presentation, it is important that you confirm your intent to present the poster by completing the online Registration.

Guidelines

This document provides you with some important guidelines pertaining to the technical details of poster contributions. In order to allow a smooth organization, we kindly insist on strictly following the forwarded guidelines.

Poster Board Size

Each author of a poster paper will be provided with a portrait poster board, Width 90 cm and Height 120 cm. The recommended size for your poster is about the standing A/0 standard ( 84.1 cm x 119 cm).

Supplies you need to mount your poster will be provided in the poster area. Do not write on or mark the poster boards. Each poster will receive a poster number that designates the session to which the poster is assigned. The poster numbers will be printed in the programme book.

Poster Preparation

Make a mock-up of your display, with typing and printing the size you intend to use.

Each poster must have a heading, giving the title and the author's name and affiliation. The contents should be displayed in a logical sequence:

Introduction, method, results, discussion and conclusion. Material will have to be read by attendees from a distance of one meter or more. Therefore, large, bold lettering is advised. Be sure that chromatograms and other illustrations have strong contrast and are legible.

Authors are encouraged to provide handouts, e.g., copies of poster panels, extended abstracts, preprints.

Poster Staffing

Poster presenters are kindly requested to hang up and remove their posters according to the schedule. Poster numbers will be communicated to authors before 15 Sep. 2011.
